Steel mill shears are used to cut thin sheet, plates, beams, and bars. Depending on the application, shearing machines typically employ a fixed lower blade and a moving upper blade to perform the cutting action. Shearing machines can be used to cut steel and other materials in any size or shape.

Billet shearing machine

These are heavy duty shears required tor material preparation for either Rolling or Forging. The feedstock available in the form of billets or slabs is cut in cold condition, depending upon end application.

Flying Shear

The Flying Shear is a common industrial application for cutting a continuous product to a set length at line speed. The main production process is not interrupted thus maximizing machine productivity. Steel mills use Flying Shears for cutting profile metals and bars during the rolling mill process. These can be fully automated with a motor and a heat sensor depending on the application.

Custom designed Flying Shears can be semi-automatic or fully automatic depending on customer needs. Steel mills choose to have Flying Shears custom designed based on their own specific needs. Custom designing ensures that their materials are cut precisely to their requirements and will also save operational cost by reducing maintenance.

Cold Shear

BSEW Cold Shears are designed with their high strength capacity to cut metals which are produced in different shapes and sections and it’s located right after cooling.

Electro pneumatic clutch-brake system, printing mechanisms and high capacity digital counting equipment which allows fully automatic operation. When it is requested, inlet-outlet roller way can be equipped with adjustable length buffer mechanism.

Cold Shears are manufactured in 3 different standard ways. Beside this cold shear can also be designed and manufactured in different characteristics features of special project, when requested.
